UniFi Access Point nanoHD
Ubiquiti · ceiling access point, Wi-Fi 5, 160 mm disc · UAP-nanoHD
what it is
An access point mounted on the ceiling or on a wall: a disc 160 mm in diameter and 32.65 mm thick, one gigabit network port, PoE using the 802.3af standard.
It is one of this manufacturer's smaller access points — for comparison, the newer U7 Pro XGS is 215 mm in diameter, about one third larger.
what we read from it
The data comes through the manufacturer's controller:
- number of clients and their distribution across bands;
- transmit power and channel number separately for each radio, as well as channel utilization and noise level — which is what lets you say whether the problem is on the device side or in the airspace around it;
- radio neighbors and foreign networks visible from this location;
- firmware version, uptime and the reason for the last restart;
- wired link data — speed, duplex, port number on the switch and power draw, which is the full set needed to determine whether the trouble is in the cable.
port layout
There is no port at all on the visible face. The front is a smooth white disc with a glowing status ring — the only element that shows the device status without looking into the controller. All connections are on the ceiling side.
On the underside: one gigabit network port that accepts PoE, and a recessed factory reset button.
what we cannot read
- Temperature — UniFi access points do not report it in any field.
- Spectrum measurements beyond what the controller reports. That requires an independent sensor.
full parameter list
A full parameter list for this model is not here yet — the ones described above are those we have read and verified. A missing list does not mean the device exposes nothing more.
