UniFi AC Lite
Ubiquiti · ceiling access point, Wi-Fi 5 · UAP-AC-Lite
what it is
An access point for ceiling or wall mounting, Wi-Fi 5 on both bands, in a 2 × 2 configuration on each. The housing is a white polycarbonate disc 160 mm in diameter and 31.45 mm thick, weighing 170 g — the smallest and lightest unit of this family, half the weight of the Pro model and almost five times lighter than the Wi-Fi 6 access point.
There is a single connection: a gigabit port that accepts PoE (power over the cable). Draw reaches 6.5 W, the lowest in the whole family — with a switch that has a 42 W budget, that is the difference between four and six access points on one device.
The smaller disc and 2 × 2 instead of 3 × 3 mean smaller coverage and lower peak throughput. This is equipment for a dense grid of small cells, not for covering a hall with a single access point.
what we read from it
A full set of radio data — in this respect it is on par with larger models.
- Channel utilization separately on 2.4 and 5 GHz, broken down into transmit and receive.
- Client count separately in each band. With a dense grid of small access points this is the key number: it shows whether clients spread evenly or all stick to one.
- Operating channel and transmit power in each band.
- Share of retransmitted frames.
- Client signal quality: average and worst level, signal-to-noise ratio, lowest connection rate.
- State of the link to the switch together with the port number, speed and link drop counter.
- Uptime, availability and response latency.
port layout
There is no port at all on the visible face. The only element is a glowing ring about 65 mm in outer diameter in the center of the disc — proportionally larger than on its siblings, because the disc itself is smaller.
The connections are on the ceiling side, in a recess of the housing: a network port that accepts power, labeled on the housing as the PoE input, and a factory reset button right next to it. The edge of the recess has a notch for routing the cable out.
The vendor shows the underside only at an angle, so the exact spacing of the connections is not known.
what we cannot read
- Temperature — UniFi access points do not report it in any field.
- A list of clients with names — aggregate statistics are visible, not a list of people.
- Spectrum outside its own operating channels. An access point reports what it hears on its own channel; a picture of the whole band requires a separate sensor.

These are objects the device itself returns over SNMP (names from MIB files). There are no values here, and no port numbers either.
