what it is
A latest-generation ceiling access point: a disc 215 mm in diameter, 32.5 mm thick, with an enclosure of UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy.
It operates on three bands: 6 GHz and 2.4 GHz in a 2 × 2 configuration and 5 GHz in a 4 × 4 configuration.
What sets it apart is the 10 GbE uplink port and PoE using the PoE++ (802.3bt) standard, with consumption of up to 29 W. This is a difference that shows up in the installation design: a Wi-Fi 7 access point on a gigabit uplink delivers less than it can, and a switch with only PoE+ does not have enough power for it.
what we read from it
The data comes through the manufacturer's controller:
- number of clients and their distribution across bands;
- transmit power and channel separately for each radio, channel utilization and noise level;
- radio neighbors and foreign networks visible from this location;
- firmware version, uptime and the reason for the last restart;
- wired link data — negotiated speed, duplex, port number on the switch and power draw. With this model the negotiated speed is a number to watch: an uplink plugged into a gigabit port will report as healthy and be ten times narrower than it could be.

The front face is a smooth white disc with a glowing status ring — no ports. All connections are on the ceiling side: one 10 GbE uplink port that accepts PoE, a recessed reset button and a latch that releases the mounting bracket.
what we cannot read
- Temperature — UniFi access points do not report it in any field.
- Actual radio throughput. The controller reports link parameters and the number of clients; how much data actually gets through depends on the surroundings.
- Spectrum measurements independent of this access point. That requires a separate sensor.
